Collection: Watch Buckle

The buckle collection covers OEM hardware for Panerai, Breitling, Audemars Piguet (AP), and IWC. Each buckle and deployant clasp is sourced from the original manufacturer, making them direct replacements or upgrades for the brand's own straps. All products are genuine — not aftermarket replicas.

A tang buckle is a traditional pin-and-hole fastener, similar to a belt buckle — simple, lightweight, and easy to swap straps on. A deployant (or deployment) clasp is a folding stainless steel mechanism that opens with a push-button and snaps shut securely around the wrist. Deployant clasps are more secure, reduce daily wear on the strap, and are generally considered the more premium option. Both types are available in this collection across multiple brands and sizes.

The buckle size listed (e.g., 20MM, 22MM, 24MM) refers to the width of the strap end that connects into the buckle — not the lug width at the watch case. For deployant clasps, the listing will specify the compatible strap dimensions, such as "fits 24/22 or 26/22MM straps." Always match the buckle size to the tail-end width of your strap, not the watch case.

No — not all Panerai deployant clasps are universally compatible. The 22MM Panerai deployant clasp fits 24/22MM and 26/22MM straps, which means it works with 44MM, 46MM, and 47MM Panerai cases. It will not fit 22/20MM Panerai straps. Always check the listing's compatibility notes before ordering, particularly whether your strap ends in a 22MM or 20MM tail.

All buckles and deployant clasps in this collection are new OEM items. Some listings note they are "new without tags," meaning they are unused manufacturer pieces that may have been stored without retail packaging — but the hardware itself is brand new and uninstalled.

Significantly. The Panerai 22MM deployant clasp, for example, retails for $375–$475 at Panerai boutiques. Gift of Time offers the same OEM piece at 30%+ below boutique pricing. Breitling deployant clasps that retail similarly high are also offered at substantial discounts across the collection.

Brushed stainless steel has a satin, non-reflective texture that hides fingerprints well and gives a more understated, sporty look. Polished stainless steel is mirror-bright and more formal. Matte black (also referred to as PVD or DLC-coated) is a dark, non-reflective finish achieved through a physical vapor deposition process — it adds a stealthy, modern aesthetic and is more scratch-resistant than standard steel. Match your buckle finish to your watch case and strap hardware for a cohesive look.

Most deployant clasps can be installed at home with basic spring bar tools. The clasp attaches to the strap the same way a standard buckle does — using spring bars that press into the strap's end holes. If you're not comfortable working with spring bars, any local watchmaker or jewelry store can install it in minutes for a small fee. We are happy to sell additional tools if required to install the straps / clasps / buckles yourself. It is very easy!

The Breitling deployant clasps listed in this collection are clasp-only — they do not include a strap. If you need a matching Breitling strap, those are available separately in the store's strap collections. Some products in the collection (e.g., the Breitling Diver Pro Rubber Strap listings) do include an OEM tang buckle bundled with the strap — the title will clearly state "w/ OEM Tang Buckle" in those cases.
